The Spear is an integral part of any team giving good damage output while being able to apply large amounts of rend and weaken

Attributes

The Spear scales more from DEX than from STR but the 350 Str perk gives us huge boosts to our abilities and light attacks. For bosses that cannot have guaranteed back stabs aim for 350 dex for the increased crit chance

Armor & Jewelry Perks

Perks in order of Importance, don’t stress about gearscore as you’re leveling , low gearscore with good perks beats high gearscore with bad perks. Old crown is going to give much more protection where pants will be a tiny bit more dps due to an extra 8 stat points.

Rotations

  • Dodge into Skewer being careful to backstab

  • 2 x Lght attacks

  • Perforate

  • 2 x Light Attacks

  • Cyclone

  • 2x Light attacks

  • Repeat this , weaving in dodges as needed to reposition and in between some attacks for faster cooldowns. Skewer gives empower when crit so try ensure this is a backstab where possible.

  • If you want more CC like on the ads in hive of gorgon then look at taking Sweep instead of cyclone.
